"I am a current freshman majoring in Anthropology at the University of Delaware. I have two years of experience with tutoring students at Kumon: an after school tutoring center focused on math and reading skills. Throughout high school, I consistently maintained a weighted GPA of above 4.2 and had a specialized pathway focus in AP courses. My passion for learning taught me that effort and dedication are the two most important traits in students as well as teachers.

Through Kumon, I have worked with children of various ages who exhibit various learning styles, and I have for the past two years. When it comes to my students, both current and potential, my goal is to help them fully grasp the core concepts of what they are learning so that they may apply them in the future. I have taught children from first grade to eighth grade. I often teach grammatical concepts to both younger and older students, as well as helping them to develop their vocabulary, writing tone, and reading comprehension on school homework or homework assigned by the center. Additionally, I teach math concepts present up to algebra one, including but not limited to fractions, the basics of math, linear equations, polynomials, exponents, and algebraic expressions.

My dedication lies in learning what works best for each student. Whether that be helping with homework or classwork, introducing them to new concepts, or improving skills they already have.
