Throughout my time in school and in the years after, I discovered that what makes learning enjoyable isn’t just the subject—it’s the person guiding you through it. The teachers and mentors I connected with the most were the ones who made learning feel approachable, encouraging, and even fun. That’s the type of tutor I strive to be.

I’ve worked as both a substitute teacher and an aftercare counselor, so I’m very familiar with the content students are learning across grade levels, and I’m comfortable building positive, trusting relationships with kids of all ages. These experiences have helped me learn how to meet students where they are, understand their learning styles, and bring patience and creativity into every session.

In my tutoring sessions, I like to keep learning engaging and structured. I usually introduce topics in a fun, accessible way, then clearly break down the material so students truly understand it. I always include time for guided practice and independent practice, adjusting the approach as needed based on each student’s individual needs, personality, and goals.
