"My name is Irene R. and I come to you with many different experiences that allow me to help you develop a true understanding for how math is used in the real world! I graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. While working in a vehicle design company for many years, I pursued my Masters degree (MBA). After working several years as a design engineer, I decided to try tutoring as a personal business. This business was quite successful and I had a variety of elementary thru high school students I tutored for about 10 years. I truly enjoyed helping students develop their understanding of math concepts and their applications. As a result, I decided to work to become a certified math teacher. Once I completed the certification process, I worked as a middle school math teacher in 6th grade for 13 years. At this point, I am reaching out to help students once again as a personal tutor so that they can be more successful in middle school and beyond.

I develop lesson plans and teaching tools based on each student’s needs. These may include hands on approaches, practice in a variety of forms, math games, and individual support in your own school’s curriculum.

I have extensive exposure to math to on both academic and real-world platforms. I am able to tutor elementary thru high school students because of my own school and work experiences.
