"If you -want- to learn, I can teach you what you need. I know math inside & out, and I am good at what I do. I provide real-world examples & I personalize the subject matter. While I have stepped away from the front of the classroom, I can still be a force for change and development through these virtual channels. — Background —
• Elementary: self-taught Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry before HS
• High School: 5s on AP Calculus BC and AP Chemistry in my junior year and on AP Physics my senior year; scored a 760 on SAT Math and a 34 on ACT Math
• College: engineering courseload with math beyond Differential Equations
• Post-Graduate: earned certification to teach IT courses to high school students
• Professional: electrical engineering to high school math teacher to photographer
— Highlights —
• Tutored one of my students privately who wanted to go beyond their school resources. I had taught them Geometry and Trigonometry through their academic transcript, but they wanted to learn PreCalculus before transferring to a US Top 100 high school. Taught the student from March to July. They were admitted to Walnut Hills High School [Cincinnati, OH] for their senior year and completed Calculus BC was a 3.4 GPA.
• Took a high school freshman class of 130 students, which was not taught Algebra [public school miseducation], and they performed 14% better than the district test average.
I teach the math behind the math. Students experiencing difficulty with math do not understand what to do next or why they need to do what they need to do next. I will teach the reasoning & all of the ways the problem can confuse you. Then, I will simplify the process & help develop student awareness so they can navigate math efficiently & on their own.
There are tutors and those who have the ability & love for teaching. Please schedule a lesson with me and experience the difference for yourself." less...
