"Hello! My name is Navin and I live in Cape Coral. My degree is in Mechanical Engineering, and after several years in the field I decided to teach math instead. I've taught many math subjects, including AP Calculus and AP Statistics. I absolutely LOVE math - it is a huge passion of mine.

In college I used to tutor fellow students in math outside of class time (mostly calculus) and found the experience very rewarding. My students found it easier to cope with the material and this was reflected in better homework and exam grades. I too benefited from this by gaining tutoring experience and of course by constantly keeping my mind sharp! For those tutoring sessions, what I primarily did was review homework problems and past quizzes/tests/exams. Given the nature of math, I feel doing sample problem after sample problem is a very effective way to improve.

I cover a broad range of math concepts, so I can't say I specialize in any one area. Areas include trigonometry, geometry, fractions, decimals, algebra, calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. What I propose we do is go over any homework and exam problems that you have difficulty with, without spending too much time on areas where you are already doing well. Needless to say, I'm flexible so constant feedback and question asking is highly encouraged.

Good places to have tutoring sessions include libraries, cafes, and your home if that's your preference.
