"Hi my name is Alraian! I’m a third year Biomedical Engineering Major at Illinois Institute of Technology. I obtained an Associates in Engineering from Oakton Community College in Spring 2021. What I learned during my time in university is that the classes I enjoyed the most were the ones with the most attentive professors. I’ve had professors, especially with online school, just give us all the material and leave it up to us to teach ourselves and I’ve had professors spend hours with me in office hours so that I fully understand the content material. I want to help students the way that I was helped.

I tutored some underclassmen while in high school in Math and Chemistry during the summer break before I started university. I started off by going back to the basics and making sure that their foundation was strong before building on it. I used plenty of examples from many sources (different textbooks, old exams and other teacher’s lecture notes) to explain the concepts and test them. This method is what I continue to use and can be changed per student.

My qualifications include: achieving a 30 on the math portion of the ACT and getting A’s on all my math classes (pre calculus, calculus (1,2 and 3), Introduction to Ordinary Differential Equations and Matrix and Complex Algebra). I have a 4.0 GPA and I’m on the Dean’s list.
