"Hi! My name is Carmina. I'm an undergraduate at the University of Miami Herbert Business School. Before Wyzant, I was a tutor for various subjects as part of national honors societies. This includes English (Escriptus), math (Mu Alpha Theta), science (Science National Honors Society) and Chinese (National Chinese Honors Society).

I specialize in language arts, currently working a Creative Writing minor. This includes essay-writing (especially Common App essays which I have had personal success with), fiction writing, reading comprehension, and grammar. With writing, I give general guidelines and work with the student on how they can make their works unique/fit their academic need. I also do constructive edits to improve on structure and grammar.

I am also available to math help, ranging up to Calculus BC. I can break out formulas and methods to make them easily understood for all grades. I go step-by-step but allow the student to find answers on their own.
