"Hello, I am Carlos! I graduated from Barry University as summa cum laude in Miami with a major in Political Science and a minor in Psychology. I then went on to earn my Juris Doctorate from Florida International University. While pursuing my education I sprouted an idea--how do I best impart the knowledge I've gained unto others? I ruminated and decided that tutoring with patience, method, persistence, and kindness was the best way to aid others in achieving their own academic aspirations. The teachers and professors I remember most fondly were the ones who engaged with students, who had novel approaches to learning, who led you to form your own thoughts and succeed via your own skill without overwhelming you with too much information once. They were relatable. I strive to do the same!

I employ the Socratic Method and constantly investigate the thought processes of a student, and I engage in dialogue with the student to better understand them and guide them to an answer instead of deliberately telling them the right response. I've tutored for over two years and have markedly observed my clients increase their standardized test scores by massive increments, and I have seen their grades soar into A's and B's when they, themselves, didn't think it would ever be possible! It's about inspiring hope, building a reliable routine, and reinforcing results through positivity.

I've taught individuals as young as six-years-old and as experienced as 50 years old and everything in between. I've tutored at student's abodes, at libraries, and, for the most part, online. I usually tutor one-on-one, but I have done group settings, and regardless of the setting the student learns what they need to and more.
