"I have a permanent license to teach Social Studies, 7-12 and have taught junior and senior high history. While tutoring essay writing to students at Queens College, and as an instructional assistant to a history professor at Baruch College, I made remarkable progress in promoting good writing in college students whose original language was not English. Having taken many doctoral level history courses, I know how a historian thinks.

My "sweet spot" ranges from Grades 5-12. My lessons for these are my own, using literature and official state exams as material. I create DIY students. I have tutored at WyzAnt over 7000 hours (4.99 out of 5 rating), teaching special and mainstream students, and use my sense of humor, observational skill, and strong ability to make associations to entertain the kids. The kids like that I am an engaging story teller, a witty observer, and a great writer. One first grader I tutored laughed her way to success. "I had such fun and learned so much," one sixth grader told his mother. The lessons for both children were stopped, but only after the latter student was accepted into the very exclusive Hunter College Early High School and the former student was named one of the best students in her school.

I teach all kinds of writing. My skill in teaching good writing through step by step thinking has changed student's lives. My students excel over the ordinary. They are leaders. I teach students how to organize their writing simply, to make a point and to support it, and to write to spark interest and to prove importance. I prepare students for English Language Arts examinations, such as the ELA Grades 3-8, Regents, SHSAT, ACT, and SAT by exposing student weaknesses and by offering simple advice that turns weakness into strength.
