I am seeking tutoring clients in a variety of fields related to reading, writing, and research. I am a current English literature PhD student at the University of Alabama, with 4+ years of tutoring experience and two years of teaching experience. I have a master's degree in American Studies and a bachelor's degree in English literature and creative writing. I have tutored in college and university setting, and I have tutored independently with students of all ages. From helping students with college application essays to helping young students learn to read, I believe in the importance of supporting students on their journeys.

My approach to tutoring is student-focused, where I always meet the student where they are. I believe in each and every one of my students’ abilities to meet their academic goals. During tutoring sessions, I like to allow the student time to verbally work through their ideas before diving into assignments. For example, I think it’s often helpful for a student to talk about their ideas for an assignment before they begin writing it. This helps break the ice and encourage the student to be comfortable around me as a tutor.
