"Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! My name is Kate, and I recently moved to Wilmington from Denver, Colorado. I'm originally from North Carolina, but after I graduated from the School of Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005, I headed out to Jackson, Wyoming, to see what the West was all about. After getting my fill of horseback riding, snowboarding, rafting, camping, and hiking, I made my way to Boulder, Colorado, where I attended the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University and got my Creative Writing and Poetics Master of Fine Arts. This gave me experience with people from all walks of life.

While working towards my MFA, I tutored other students in the Naropa Writing Center. It is only by analyzing how we get from point A to point B that we can improve upon C—the outcome.

I assess and adjust the educational materials and methods I use based on the needs of the individual. No two people lea" less...
