"I love to help students -- middle school level through adult -- sharpen their skills in reading, writing, and grammar. This includes helping them prepare for the reading and writing sections of the AP, SAT, and ACT tests. I arrive at each tutoring session fully prepared with materials I have personally selected to meet each student's particular needs. I am patient and caring -- and I am particularly committed to make the learning experience as enjoyable and stress-free as I possibly can. My approach helps students see significant improvement from the very first tutoring session."
Both my B.A. and M.A. degrees are in English. I have been a professional advertising writer for more than 30 years and have been a tutor for over seven years. I have also taught Freshman Composition at the college level for 3 years. In addition, I have had three one-act plays produced professionally -- two in New York and one in Colorado Springs, where I won a national playwriting contest.
