Hey! I’m Kirsten. For the last 7+ years I’ve been teaching in outdoor and environmental education, which means I’m used to explaining tough topics in fun, clear ways and helping people feel confident in new skills. In 2020, I started tutoring English, Spanish, and writing — and now I also help with computer literacy and logical reasoning (some of my favorite challenges!).

What Sessions Are Like

I keep tutoring interactive and tailored to you. We’ll figure out how you learn best—whether that’s visuals, practice, conversation, or step-by-step breakdowns—and I’ll give you feedback you can use right away. Most of my students say they feel more confident and better prepared after our sessions.

A Little About Me

I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Spanish. I became fluent in Spanish while living in Chile for a year, and I’ve also worked as a Spanish-English interpreter in education, guiding, and healthcare. Outside of tutoring, I’m an environmental educator in Yellowstone National Park, where I lead school groups through week-long field science courses.
