"I am passionate about helping kids succeed in school. It is more important than ever that kids learn to read and write to the best of their ability. Helping students reach their full potential is what I do best. I graduated from The University of Toledo with a B.A. in English, and I have an M.Ed. from John Carroll University. My education did not end when I graduated from college, however. I am a lifelong learner and love to gain new insights every day.

I have taught middle school language arts for nearly twenty years, and I love working with kids and seeing them achieve success. My experience encompasses teaching seventh through twelfth graders at all levels, including kids with IEP’s, ESL students, and gifted students. In addition, I tutored college students in writing while I was an undergraduate. I have learned that two keys to teaching are patience and knowing what level your students are on. I will help students improve their reading and writing skills, as well as succeed on specific classroom assignments.
