"Hi, I’m Seth! I graduated Cum Laude with dual B.A. degrees in English (focused on creative writing) and Theatre Arts, as well as a Musical Theatre Minor. While in college, I appreciated working one-on-one with professors and mentors, since it gave me space to grow both artistically and intellectually. I am of the belief that both of those areas are heavily interconnected, especially in the academic setting, and I aim to have my tutoring style foster those characteristics for my students to achieve and stand out in their areas of interest.

I understand the challenges and needs of college-level writing and the need for a collaborative experience of working with my students to become stronger writers on both academic and creative projects. I will approach those situations with workshop-style feedback sessions to help strengthen students' clarity, structure, voice, and overall confidence in their writing. Additionally, I have a strong background in theatre and the performing arts, both on and off stage. As a performer, I have training in Stanislavski-style acting, physical theatre (movement work, commedia dell’arte, and Laban), voice work, and novice dance training (jazz and tap). I enjoy working with a wide range of ages and experiences by creating a safe and encouraging environment for actors of all ages and experiences to gain confidence, experiment through risk, and grow their craft.

I am comfortable working not only one-on-one with students, but I also have experience in larger group experiences, whether it is small groups or giving lecture-style lessons to a classroom.
