"Greetings!

My name is Jessica. I am a multilingual tutor (English, Spanish, Arabic and some French) with 13+ years of experience teaching and tutoring students in groups and one-on-one. I have taught all levels of English to students ranging in age from 6 to 63. Subjects I have taught include AP English, Honors English, and English Literature (at the university and high school levels). Elementary school English, ESL and English in preparation for the USCIS interview are among my other tutoring experiences.

In fact, preparing adults for the USCIS interview is something I have been busy and successful with these last few years. More specifically, I tutor candidates for American citizenship in the areas in which they request. So, I may conduct mock interviews, where my student can practice responding to question that I take directly from the N-400 application. I give feedback. Then, we practice more based on the feedback and suggestions I give my student. I may also review the 100 Civic Questions with my student, multiple times if needed. Finally, I may practice the reading test and/or the writing test with my student/candidate for U.S. citizenship). If a prospective student is unsure where to start with this preparation, this is not an issue. The majority of the time, I conduct a short assessment of the student's preparedness for the interview ahead of our first lesson.

This is where a FREE 20-minute Zoom introductory meeting with me comes in. I invite ALL who would like to detail their needs (or that of their child) and/or learn about my tutoring style to meet online with me before a possible first lesson. During this time, I listen first. I will likely ask questions. Then I present how I would craft the first lesson to meet the needs of the student. From there, my lesson plans will change to continue to meet the needs of my student.
