"Aloha! My name is Trinity. I am originally from Hawai’i and have experience teaching English, TESOL, creative writing (I’m a published poet), essay writing, and reading. I’ve taught in Hawai’i, Oregon, Japan, and Rhode Island.

Currently, I’m a M.Ed. student in Urban Teaching and am obtaining my Secondary Teaching Certification. I love helping students thrive and actually learn. I taught abroad in Japan for two years at a JHS, to adults, and to nursery school students. I also have experience with the non-profit, Hawaii Literacy, in teaching adults TESOL.

I will help you (students) in learning English as another language (TESOL), Language Arts, Essay writing and reading, creative writing, and even publication. My teaching methods are based on patience and kindness as well as equity and openness. I understand the importance of educational and how a good tutor and teacher can make a positive impact. Grammar, sentence structure, language learning, and editing is what we can focus on in my lessons.

Fun fact about me: I speak Hawaiian, English, and beginner Japanese. Hawaiian is my heritage language and we can definitely practice or talk about Hawai’i, if you’d like.
