"I have been a passionate high school English teacher for twenty years but my love of literature began when I was very young and I am still an avid reader today. I began my career in Buffalo, New York, but have been teaching in Maine for the past thirteen years. The joy of my job is working with students, watching them grow and learn, helping them gain deeper understandings of life through literature and writing.

I am a single mom with two teenagers that have required my at-home tutoring skills for years on their many English assignments and I am proud to be sending one off to college in September. I am also proud of my relationships with my students over these many years--still in touch with many I taught years ago. I pride myself on getting to know my students as individuals and helping them recognize their own strengths, skills, and abilities.
