"I am an elementary and middle school special education teacher. I have over 10 years experience as a tutor, including tutoring college students in writing. I'm a school special education teacher, with an emphasis on reading, writing and literature. I've grown to love teaching math as well, especially using the CRA model, which I've found all students enjoy and can find success with.

As a teacher and a tutor, it is important for me to foster a love of learning, instill confidence in trying new things and ensure students see success and growth in their learning. I look forward to working with you and your child!

I am certified for grades P-8 in reading, writing and social studies and P-12 in general special education. I teach students in the general education classroom and follow the general education curriculum.

I have a bachelors in literature from UGA and took several classes on teaching reading in graduate school. I have experience in a variety of reading and writing instructional models, including the workshop model and level literacy intervention. I believe spelling should be taught in context and students who are confident spellers are confident writers.
