"I am a highly experienced, enthusiastic tutor in electrical engineering.
MY APPROACH
I firmly believe that anyone can succeed in mathematics, science, and engineering with the right help and encouragement. My approach to tutoring is to help students gain a deeper understanding of fundamental concepts, to develop skills and to master techniques for solving real problems, and to build confidence through practice and encouragement. I help students to understand not only the "what" of each topic, but also the "why" and the "how.”
I emphasize four key dimensions in preparing students for math, science, and engineering:
1. Conceptual understanding
2. Problem-solving methods
3. Test-taking strategies
4. Self-directed learning
MY EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring a wide variety of physics and electrical engineering topics, as well as the advanced mathematics required to understand these subjects. I have helped high school, college, and graduate students improve their grades or pass courses that they had previously failed.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, a Master of Science in Management from MIT, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Dartmouth College. I currently work as a freelance software engineer and data analyst with a focus on digital signal processing.
