"My name is Kirsty Brice and if you asked me aged five what I was going to be when I grew up, I had my answer ready. I knew I was going to be a teacher and that I was going to be helping kids. As an adult, I did just that! I graduated from USF in 2013 with an Elementary Education degree and a fully valid Teachers Certificate that I make sure is up to date and valid!

I spent 12 years in the classroom, teaching most grades K-5 at different times along my career. I have taught all subjects at once, and also focused on one or two subjects at a time (teaching only math/science some years and only reading/writing others). Each subject has a special place in my heart for different reasons, but I am passionate about them all. I have worked in a variety of schools ranging from public to charter, and Title 1 to A schools. I work hard to find the way of teaching that works best for each individual child to ensure their personal success, whether that is during tutoring one-or-one or in the classroom.

Somewhere along the way, I stumbled into a Teacher Leadership program, where I worked with peers in my school and others across the county to research and implement new ways of teaching. This lead me to getting a Graduate Certificate in Teacher Leadership, talking at a national conference, and then deciding to go even further personally and get my full Masters in Teacher Leadership with a focus in Curriculum!
