"I have a deep seeded passion for history, and am eager to pass on any knowledge I can to students hoping to improve their grades, prepare for tests, or just generally improve their knowledge base. I've always been a proponent of the idea that a deep understanding of our shared history can help inform us about the present and the future. One of the things I hope to instill in students is the ability and desire to seek out information from the historical record themselves. I hope to teach more than just the basics tenets of history of what happened when, but also how a historian, professional or amateur, goes about conducting the research necessary to obtain the answers sought in the historical record.

I've been tutoring students across all grade levels for over 4 years now. My primary areas of expertise include American and European history, primarily the 19th and 20th Centuries. I've always had a particular interest in military history, but often times the political history can be just as interesting and can help inform us of why particular events on the battlefield happened the way they did. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in History from Slippery Rock, with a Political Science Minor. I then went on to obtain my Master's degree in Applied Intelligence. Since graduate school I've been working in a variety of roles conducting research and risk analysis for various companies, but my primary passion has always been history, and I hope to inspire the next generation to have their own love and respect for our shared history." less...
