"I love turning kids and adults on to the beauty of nature and science. I studied molecular genetics in graduate school, have conducted research diving in Big Sur and Borneo, and continue to research dive in Monterey and Carmel Bays. My bread and butter work has always been editing, and I especially enjoy helping non-native speakers with their writing. My past tutoring experience includes teaching adult non-readers how to read, which is an an incredibly empowering gift to an adult and thus very satisfying. I have also led a workshop for kids teaching them to dissect a shark, and have taught dis-advantaged children computer use.
