"I am a creative and engaging educator with 2 years experience as a para-professional/TA at a middle school. I worked directly with SPED students to help them to better understand class topics. I know how much a little focused and individualized attention can help students grasp previously confusing topics. I pride myself on my ability to think outside the box and present difficult topics in new and engaging ways.

Before working as a TA, I took education courses in college. Sadly, I had to put my own education on hold for personal reasons. However, that allowed me to explore the field I am most passionate about: education. Most of my experience is with students with developmental disabilities. I am incredibly passionate about helping young people especially those with developmental disabilities strengthen emotional regulation skills, communication skills, and build their sense of autonomy. I hope to support the improvement of these skills through academic assistance.

I am confident in most areas of study and am eager to assist students in their academic endeavors. I am most confident in math topics up to Geometry, however I am able to help with topics up to Pre-Calculus. I am also very confident in topics related to Statistics and Logic. I am happy to assist students of all ages with any of their writing needs. I am a detail-oriented and reliable editor who is ready to help get essays and other assignments ready to turn in. I am happy to help with other English topics such as literary analysis, reading, grammar, and spelling. My best subject is history. I am ready to help students connect past events to today and understand why knowing the past is important.
