"Hello! I'm Su! I am a Chemistry Professor and have been teaching all levels of chemistry from Introductory to Organic since 2015. In addition to teaching hundreds of students every year in a classroom, I also spend 10 hours per week tutoring students one-on-one or in small groups. I teach both labs and lectures, so I can help you with any and all parts of your chemistry journey. I have taught face-to-face classes as well as online classes and am certified as a digital professor by my college. I graduated with honors with a B.S. in Chemistry from Iowa State University. I attained my Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Cukurova University, with an emphasis in nano-catalyst synthesis and green chemistry.

I love teaching and tutoring because I love to help you discover you are capable of more than you knew. I truly believe that everyone can learn anything given the right conditions.

In a tutoring session, I will help you take YOUR next step toward understanding. This step is different for everybody, so you will be an active participant throughout the whole session. As a teacher, I can provide clear explanations of any topic in your chemistry course, but we will go even further than that! I will ask questions and help guide you toward the answers. Former students have commented that they find this to be a very helpful because it helped them immediately identify incorrect assumptions, move forward correctly, and cement the connections between concepts. Learning new things requires making mistakes. My goal is that you would feel confident to try and make mistakes; I will help you identify and correct them as we go!
