"Hi there! I’m Nyi, and I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at UMBC. My passion for technology and teaching grew from a belief that learning should be exciting, not intimidating. I love helping students discover that moment when something “clicks”, when a tough concept suddenly makes sense. I’ve worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, and my goal is always the same: to make learning clear, approachable, and even a little fun.

I have experience as a Peer Educator at Montgomery College’s Disability Support Services, where I supported students in math, computer applications, and study strategies. I also taught at the STEM Afterschool Academy, guiding elementary and middle school students through coding (Python, BlocklyProp), robotics, and hands-on electronics projects. These experiences have taught me how to adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and confidence level.

My tutoring approach is structured but flexible. I begin by understanding what a student already knows, then build from there using examples, visuals, and lots of practice. I emphasize understanding why something works, not just memorizing steps, so students can apply what they learn with confidence.
