"Hi there! My name is Lucas, and I am a young professional working for the federal government in Washington DC. I am hoping to help young professionals and students succeed in test prep and related subjects. I used my verbal skills and knowledge of geometry and algebra to score a 169/170 on the quantitative section and a 170/170 on the verbal section of the GRE, placing me in the 99th percentile of test takers. I triple majored in Economics, Physics, and Astronomy at the College of Charleston and won several awards at graduation including Outstanding Economics Student and an award for graduating with a 4.0 GPA. These experiences qualify me to tutor in algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and test prep for the GRE, SAT, and ACT.

Several years ago, I tutored four high school students over the course of two years for the SAT and ACT. The SAT students increased their scores by 150+ points with me and the ACT students gained 3 and 4 points in their scores. I tailored my tutoring approach to each student’s strengths and weaknesses, using diagnostic tests to identify key areas for improvement. I incorporated practice exams, targeted drills, and time-management strategies to build both competence and, perhaps more importantly, confidence. For verbal sections, I emphasized vocabulary and critical reading techniques, while for math, I honed foundational skills and efficient problem-solving. Though I haven't tutored since 2019, I'm hoping to begin sharing my experience again with students today. I am willing to tutor in person in Washington, DC or virtually for anyone else.

I hope to get to know you and enhance your knowledge journey. Don't hesitate to reach out!" less...
