Tutoring is a joy because it allows me to focus keenly on your student's individual needs and help them overcome learning hurdles. My goal is to help every student build confidence, grow in their love for learning, and achieve academic success in a warm and friendly online environment.

I began tutoring ESL online in 2017 and have taught over 7,000 classes. Parents and students alike love my warm and friendly teaching style. I consistently earned top ratings on the largest virtual ESL teaching platform. I use dynamic methods, including support for programs like Rosetta Stone, to help students achieve maximum English fluency. I have a keen ear for pronunciation and specialize in accent reduction, working with students to make necessary adjustments for clear communication. My certifications include: International Open Academy 120-hour TESOL Certificate Course, TEFL Online, TESOL--VIPKID Foundational, and TESOL--VIPKID Advanced.

With over 20 years of homeschool experience with my own children and teaching in various co-ops, I am passionate about foundational literacy. My favorite subjects to teach are phonics and reading. I use a very systematic phonics approach, which proved incredibly successful with my three daughters as well as with my online students all over the world. I also worked professionally with BookNook, a reading tutor platform, to support students in building confidence in their reading skills.

My subject expertise extends to most elementary and middle subjects including Math and Science. I am also proficient in supporting students using digital learning platforms like IXL to reinforce key math and reading skills.
