"I’m a certified high school English teacher with over a decade of experience working with multilingual learners and native English speakers at the middle and high school levels. Most recently, I taught 9th and 10th grade Pre-AP English Language Arts in an urban public school, where I designed curriculum, differentiated lessons, and supported students as they built confidence in reading, writing, and critical thinking. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and have extensive training in literacy instruction, classroom engagement, and student-centered learning.

My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex skills into clear, manageable steps. Whether a student needs support with essay structure, literary analysis, grammar foundations, or developing stronger communication skills, I work with them at their pace and adjust instruction based on what helps them learn best. I have taught students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds, including teens who are new to the U.S. education system, students preparing for AP coursework, and students who need additional guidance in writing and comprehension.
