"Welcome and hi! My name's Casey, and I'd love to help you discover the beauty of speaking to computers. I have a Masters' degree in Computer Science with a focus in technical education. Although I've spent years in industry since, my true love has always been helping others learn, seeing the light bulb switch on above their heads.

I've worked and gained experience in a wide variety of commercial Computer Science niches, from retail to game development. They weren't my passion, but they gave me the experience I needed to become truly effective at helping students from every background learn anything that interests them. Upon leaving industry, I've been laser focused on Computer Science education.

I spent five years as the sole online learning technology developer for a community college, a stint as the Computer Science Fellow for an experimental tech accelerator University in Chile (Exosphere), and most recently designed, implemented, and taught a new Full Stack Web Development curriculum at Portland State University! Across its (thus far) three year run, hundreds of students have gone from zero web experience to successfully interviewing and accepting web jobs with major companies.
