"I love helping students really understand the material they are working with and gain confidence over time. I do this through interesting examples, real-world connections, and by encouraging students to solve problems on their own. Everyone learns differently, so I’m always adjusting my approach based on how a student thinks and responds, spotting when they’re struggling, and gently guiding them forward. I work well with students who are hesitant to speak up, often recognizing non-verbal cues and prompting them to ask questions.
I work with a wide range of learners, from middle school students building a foundation in Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, to high school students tackling Precalculus, Calculus, and Physics, all the way to professionals preparing for coding interviews, system design challenges, or career advancement. I specialize in computer science and programming, including Java, Python, object-oriented programming, recursion, data structures and algorithms, debugging, and data processing. I also help students get hands-on experience with tools like Matplotlib, NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn, and can also guide web and mobile app development.
For working professionals and college students I provide technical interview prep including leetcode style problems, system design, and low-level design interviews. I also provide behavioral interview coaching, resume reviews and career coaching. I draw on my experience as a software engineer at Google and my current role as an Engineering Manager to give insight into hiring processes, interview expectations, and what top tech companies look for in candidates.
My tutoring style is friendly, patient, and highly personalized. I focus on understanding each student’s thinking, identifying knowledge gaps, and creating the right balance of challenge and support to maximize learning. I emphasize strategies and exercises for students to work on outside of sessions and work well with long-term students developing skills over time." less...
