"Hello & welcome!
My name is Eileen, and I am a cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. I have also completed a Master’s degree in Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine at the University of Southern California. I am currently a fourth-year medical student applying to residency. Throughout medical school, I have passed the CBSE, USMLE Step 1, and Step 2 CK on the first attempt, and earned Honors/High Pass on all NBME core shelf exams. These experiences have strengthened both my knowledge base and my ability to teach high-yield concepts in a clear and approachable way.
I have been tutoring for over 10 years, and it continues to be one of the most meaningful parts of my academic and professional life. I have worked with students at the high school, undergraduate, and medical school levels, helping them improve their grades, strengthen understanding, build confidence, and develop effective study habits. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style using visual explanations, concept mapping, discussion-based reasoning, memory techniques, and guided practice. I also incorporate commonly used board prep resources, including Sketchy, UWorld, and AMBOSS, to review content and practice questions in real time. My teaching focus is always on building true comprehension, rather than memorization.
Majoring in a subject that once felt overwhelming has given me a unique empathy for students who feel intimidated by science. Biology, chemistry, and clinical sciences can feel abstract at first — but with the right guidance, the concepts become logical and rewarding. I strive to help students make connections, understand the “why,” and actually enjoy the learning process.
If you are looking for someone who is patient, knowledgeable, and committed to going above and beyond for your success, you are in the right place. I look forward to working with you — let’s get started!" less...
