"As a high school teacher for almost 15 years, I had the opportunity to develop and execute curricula for various secondary-level English-based courses at the academic, honors, and AP levels. Classes included subject matter on world literature, cultural mythology, American short stories, poetry, writing and research, and SAT/ACT prep. Each course included multiple units framed around the Common Core State Standards, essential questions, major assessments, vocabulary, central skills/objectives, differentiation for special needs and ELL students, and resources for enrichment.

My goals in the classroom were to illustrate the value of reading, writing, and research and emphasize their importance academically, creatively, and professionally.
