"Hey there! My name is Brian and I'm a software engineer with 5 years of professional experience. I've worked for both large companies and startups, and have even started and owned my own company. I am extremely passionate about Computer Science, and love helping people understand topics they are struggling with. I spent 2 years as a teaching assistant at my college in various classes, and regularly helped my peers understand confusing topics (I'm looking at you, recursion!)

I am passionate about both Computer Science in general, and explaining complex topics in easily digestible ways. I like to think of myself as a sort of "translator" between professors and students, breaking down a professors' complex and often superficial explanation of a topic.

While tutoring, I like to guide students into finding their own answers, as I believe when one is able to come to an answer on their own instead of being given one, it builds a strong foundation for problem solving in the future and a deeper, more complete understanding of the topic being studied.

I have also been a mentor for a First Robotics team in my hometown, helping them organize their team, make a plan, and work together. I love to work with students of all ages, and try to inspire others to love to learn and understand a topic they're interested in.
