"Hi, my name is Eli! I am currently a Sophomore at the University of Maryland, though I am a Junior by credits and courses taken. I am a double major in Psychology as well as Criminology and Criminal Justice. I am also adding a minor in Law and Society. I have experience as a Teachers Assistant (TA) for two different courses in college, one being a introduction to university and the other being a research focused course, in classes of around 30 to 40 students. This means I am more than happy to offering tutoring to all grade levels including college-level students or students enrolled in college level courses. I have the most experience with introductory level courses in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and English or Writing. However, depending on the level of the class I am able to help with the majority of social studies focused curriculums.
Additionally, I am an Undergraduate Researcher working primarily within archival research with a social studies focus, so I have experience teaching introductory level practices within research environments for students. Throughout high school I took numerous AP level classes, so I am familiar with that level of course content for students in high school, especially if they are upperclassmen. For three years in high school, I worked with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, teaching them to expand their capabilities in the classroom setting in subjects like Art and P.E. so I feel comfortable working with students who may need extra support and other services. To build on this, I am also someone who utilized Accessibility and Disability Services (ADS) in high school with my 504 plan, so I am very familiar with students who have these accommodations and how they pertain to classroom spaces, homework, and testing." less...
