"My college degree is in history and my minor was English. My graduate studies concentrated on history, but then I decided to become a teacher instead of a professor, so I took the requisite education courses for my professional certification. I am certified in Social Studies 6-12 and English 6-12, as well as Humanities K-12, Gifted, and ESE.

I have taught over 22 years including two years as a fifth grade teacher in a private school, eight years in a public high school, and twelve years in a public middle school. I am now back to teaching high school and new to the Marion County/Citrus County area.

I have tutored students of every age and intellectual ability. It is my pleasure to help them succeed and find joy in learning. Whether at home or in the classroom, my goal is to establish a rapport and figure out their strengths, needs, and learning style.
