"Hi, I'm Matthew, and I'm here to help you master the art and science of learning. With close to 10,000 hours of coaching experience, I specialize in working with high school and college students, including those with learning and attention disabilities, mental health concerns, and other challenges that may impact academic success. I'm an expert on "The Neuroscience of Learning" (I even designed and taught a college course on the subject). I help students understand how their brains work. We learn from neuroscience to discover ways of being better, including understanding dopamine, focus, processing, and memory.

Through executive function coaching, we'll develop essential skills to plan, prioritize, regulate, motivate, and organize your way to success. I create a supportive space where you can explore, ask questions, understand concepts, apply techniques, and repeat the process until mastery.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Black Studies and Sociology from a top state school in New York: my Master's Degree in Education & Human Development from The George Washington University. I recently completed my MBA in Business Analytics, and I'm a SHRM Certified Professional.

I've worked at colleges on the East Coast and currently teach at undergraduate and graduate levels at Bay Area institutions. My first-year success course can be adapted to support high school students and college students striving to excel in their studies.
