I'm Ron, and I want to thank you for considering me as your Wyzant tutor. With degrees from Georgia Tech and The George Washington University, I bring a solid academic background to the table. Now retired, I've been teaching and tutoring math for seven years and truly enjoy working with students of all ages. My informal style helps build a comfortable rapport with students, making learning a pleasant experience. I'm driven by those "lightbulb moments" when a new concept clicks for a student, and I believe they find it rewarding too.

In addition to my work on Wyzant, I've tutored math at Howard Community College (HCC) in Maryland and teach an Algebra 1 Review class as part of HCC’s summer enrichment program. Whether you need to learn a topic from scratch, tackle homework problems, or prepare for tests, I’m here to help. I always ensure we cover previous skills and concepts to build a strong foundation.

I like to prepare for our sessions (free of charge) and would appreciate it if you could send me your topics or homework a day or so in advance. While not necessary, it allows me to tailor the session to your needs and develop helpful materials like handouts or Desmos examples.
