"As a second-year medical student with a Master’s degree in anatomy and experience teaching at three medical institutions, I bring both deep content knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching to every session. While earning my master's in anatomy at Saint Louis University, I was awarded the position of teaching assistant where I had the unique opportunity to perform prosections and guide students through their own dissections during lab. For the students that needed extra time and help with the material, I offered tutoring services in the cadaver lab. This is where I gained most of my tutoring experience with 50+ medical, PA, and allied health students throughout the year. I offered 1-on-1 and small group tutoring sessions based on each student's needs.
After earning my master's degree, I accepted a two part-time faculty positions as the anatomy and neuroanatomy lab instructor at Ponce Health Sciences University in St. Louis and as an anatomy lab instructor at WashU. In these positions, I provided cadaveric prosections, held anatomy and neuroanatomy lab review sessions for the medical and masters students, and assisted medical and masters students during their cadaveric dissections. During this time, I also applied to medical school and just completed my first of four years.
My approach to tutoring is student-centered: I meet you where you’re at, adapting my teaching style to fit your learning preferences — whether that means breaking down complex concepts visually, guiding you through clinical applications, or reviewing step-by-step in a low-pressure setting. My goal is not just to help you pass, but to help you truly understand anatomy and feel confident applying it in clinical contexts. My goal is to foster a safe and engaging learning environment that is tailored to your success." less...
