"I work as an environmental engineer, but I have worked and been certified in math/science secondary education. I have a master's in environmental engineering, a bachelor's in chemical engineering, and have tutored college courses privately. I have been providing tutoring services to students for over a decade, privately and under tutoring companies. My teaching certification expired in July 2020 and I returned to engineering. I have experience with elementary school to college level students and most of my tutoring has been for exam preparation, such as the SAT, ASVAB, ACT, CLT, and state exams. I have tutored a wide range of students, including those who are home schooled, have academic/ learning limitations, or require a personalized program. I am available most evenings and weekends provided there is sufficient notice. I love being a tutor because I have personally experienced the impact that personalized instruction has on a student. My approach to teaching is collaborative and encourages students to explore different approaches to problems. My rates are flexible and I am willing to travel to students if necessary. Advanced courses and college counseling may incur higher rates due to more prep time . If you have financial issues, but require more than 4 hours a week, I can work with you.
