I am an experienced tutor with twenty-five years of teaching experience. I have a high success rate with the students I tutor and have worked with all ages, from pre-k to adult. I have taught grades K through 12 remedial reading as well as test prep for the SAT and ACT. I am enthusiastic, caring and a very hard worker.

My background and NC certification in reading allows me to successfully teach reading comprehension, phonics and writing skills. I have taught young children how to read and write, assisted high schoolers with ACT and SAT test prep, and have counseled high school students on how to write those very important college application essays.

Speaking French is a passion of mine and I love teaching it as well. I lived and studied in France and have a Bachelor of Arts degree and NC certification in the French language. My Master of Arts degree is in Curriculum and Instruction for Elementary Education. I am also very familiar with the Common Core and will work with you to develop a plan for academic success.
