"Hello prospective tutees! I'm Jackson, currently an upperclassman in the undergraduate physics program at the University of Central Florida, with a minor in mathematics. I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is to care about the student and the subject. How can I expect to ignite a student’s curiosity if I’m not on fire for the subject myself? As an aspiring physicist, I feel strongly about the importance of science, the role of education, and the beauty within mathematics. Over the years I've tutored, I’ve always aimed, and will continue to aim, for every student to leave a session with a deeper interest in the material, one that might grow into a lasting passion. I combine this mindset with a solid foundation in instructional techniques and subject knowledge to create sessions that are not just productive but fun and rewarding for both me and my students.
Over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of working as a physics tutor at Valencia College, where I’ve helped students strengthen their understanding of both fundamental and advanced concepts. I also spent a semester as a learning assistant for calculus at the University of Central Florida, supporting students during lectures and leading small-group problem-solving sessions. In addition to these roles, I’ve provided private tutoring in a range of math subjects—including Calculus I and II, Precalculus, and College Algebra—tailoring each session to the needs and goals of the student. My experience with tutoring began in high school, where I volunteered to help underclassmen in trigonometry and chemistry, and that early spark has since grown into a deep commitment to education.
I am excited to help you learn your course content and build your curiosity! I am happy to accommodate specific requests to best meet your needs. Please feel free to reach out to me to schedule a phone call or a lesson!" less...
