"Hello! I'm Renee. I have a BS in Biology from UNC Charlotte and am currently in my first year of Dental school at UNC Chapel Hill. I was a volunteer tutor throughout high school before working at a local teaching center as a professional tutor for two years in college. In addition, I have been working as a private tutor for the last six years. I love working with kids of all ages and finding new ways of explaining material to best help the student. My ultimate goal is to support the student in any way possible, with almost any subject.

I particularly enjoy tutoring in math, English, and science. I can provide help with school or college application essays, homework, and study tips. I maintained above a 4.6 GPA in high school. In college, I maintained a 4.0 GPA in rigorous science, math, English, chemistry, and physics courses. I have received an English academic award as well. I will constantly be working to help improve my students' grades, understanding, and overall satisfaction with schoolwork.

I adore working with kids. I have tutored Elementary schoolers professionally, babysat and nannied for the last ten years, and volunteered to teach Elementary children at my church for four years. I understand the need for enthusiasm, encouragement, and patience.

I have extensive experience in English tutoring and have tutored many ESL students. I also have experience working with individuals with ADHD and autism, and was involved in leadership in a special needs Buddy Club. I find working with students with special needs to be particularly rewarding.
