"Hello! My name is Anita, and I am both a teacher and a musician. I started taking piano lessons when I was six, and I started teaching piano lessons when I was 16! In fact, some of my first students were two sons and the daughter of a community college music professor who happened to live down the street from us. I was flattered and honored that he chose me to teach his children.

Spanish: Spanish was my first language, I am 100% bilingual. I have taught students from Kindergarten through High School using: Glencoe, Buen Viaje, ABekka, The Cat Adventure, Spanish Zoophonics, and many others curricula, including curriculum I created.

When I teach I try to break the concept down to the most basic of steps, to make the learning process easier, stress-free, and hopefully, fun! If a student is struggling, my goal is to be a detective and discover the obstacle to learning, whether it be a gap in knowledge, a misunderstanding, or a lack of confidence.
