"Hi! I'm Bridget. I am finishing my senior year at University of San Diego as a Biology and Spanish major with a Chemistry minor and will be pursuing medicine. Throughout my life, I have excelled academically, taking many AP classes in high school, earning a perfect ACT score on my first attempt, and maintaining a 4.0 GPA in both high school and undergrad.

My favorite subject is Organic Chemistry and I’m fluent in Spanish, so I’ve tutored these extensively over the past year and a half. In my ongoing position at the university, I tutor Chemistry, Biology, Spanish, and Physics for student-athletes as a CRLA-certified tutor 8 hours/week. Beyond my work at the university, my background includes employment at a well-known learning center and independent tutoring working with students from Pre-K to high school. I have also provided ACT tutoring, helping to improve a score by 2 points. I absolutely love my job and have helped many students succeed in challenging subjects.

My tutoring approach involves introducing the content while writing out main ideas to ensure the student can easily follow along. I ask guiding questions to help students form their own ideas and reach a deeper level of understanding. I've found that this solidifies concepts in long-term memory and boosts confidence to tackle material independently in the future. Additionally, I can address questions, review past work, or do example problems to reinforce key concepts. I welcome suggestions to tweak my tutoring style to cater to how the student learns best.
