"¡Hola! I’m Julia. I am a native speaker of Spanish from Madrid (Spain) with extensive teaching experience (+8 years). Currently working as an Instructor of Spanish at Georgetown University.

I’ve been working for +8 years as a private tutor of Spanish and English as a Foreign Language for students of different levels/ ages. I am used to tutoring either in person/online.

My language lessons incorporate various didactic materials that allow me to adapt my classes to different interests, levels, and ages. I constantly strive to understand my students’ personal life experiences and needs so that I can present class materials in ways they find learning a language motivating, fun, and relevant to their lives.

Regarding my education and teaching experience: I am currently an Instructor of Spanish at Georgetown University, where I teach various sections of intermediate and advanced courses. I hold an MA in Hispanic Studies from Western Michigan University and have taught Spanish at all levels, both in secondary and higher education, in the US, Spain, and Germany.
