"Hi! I'm Persephone. I am a university student double-majoring in chemistry and biology. I love chemistry and aim to make it as accessible as possible to all kinds of students. I have been teaching college chemistry for 3 years, and have taken courses on teaching and tutoring, specializing in active learning methods and getting students to understand material beyond memorization. I believe that the people you learn from define a majority of your learning experience, and being engaging and straightforward is the best way to help students.

I've worked with all kinds of students, from foreign exchange students learning chemistry for the very first time, to students who have taken several chemistry courses and just want a little extra help. As a result, I feel comfortable helping a range of students with any experience level, and am willing to structure tutoring however works best for my students, whether that be creating lesson plans based on material or aiding with homework and going with the flow. I have worked with groups of students creating structured lessons regularly, as well as meeting occasionally to prepare for exams.
