"Hello! My name's Katie! I graduated summa cum laude from Drexel University's nursing program, and have worked as a nurse for five years. While at Drexel, I tutored every nursing class. Prior to that, I tutored several classes in community college.

I completed a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical program, where I took chemistry and physics. I have since worked as a chemistry teaching assistant at Temple University, and have tutored both chemistry and algebra-based physics. I scored in the 96th percentile on the MCAT, and will be attending medical school in the fall.

I like to guide students' thinking using the Socratic method, and help them determine the answer, instead of giving it to them directly. I like using analogies and diagrams to help break down difficult concepts. I also have training in academic coaching and evidence-based learning strategies. While I like to think of myself as a good student, that hasn't always been the case, and I treat struggling students with empathy and kindness.
