I am passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential through personalized learning and encouragement. I am a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where I majored in Child Development and English. I plan to pursue a Master’s Degree in Education to continue supporting students in their academic journeys. For over five years, I have tutored students both in person and online, working with learners from kindergarten through high school. My experience spans a wide range of subjects, including AP courses and SAT/ACT preparation.

Having earned a composite score of 34 on the ACT and being recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar, I bring firsthand insight into effective standardized test strategies. I also have a deep understanding of what admissions officers and scholarship organizations are looking for in applicants, as well as what current high school educators expect from their students’ assignments. Additionally, I stay up to date on the evolving role of AI in education and understand how colleges, scholarship committees, and teachers are working to ensure authentic, student-driven work—particularly in English and writing assignments.

My strongest academic interests are English, Psychology, History, and College Admissions Prep, though I enjoy working across many subject areas. I especially love tutoring English, as I strive to make reading and writing engaging and confidence-building for students. Beyond subject knowledge, I emphasize study skills, executive functioning strategies, and a personalized approach that meets each student where they are. I seek to provide individualized tutoring that helps students learn more effectively by understanding how their motivations can guide them toward achieving their goals. I also draw on my background in developmental and educational psychology to better connect with students and adapt to changing patterns in engagement, ensuring my methods stay relevant.
