"I’m Dr. Doran. I have taught college full-time for about 16 years with many years as a student graduate assistant before that. My doctorate is in geology (paleontology) combining geology, biology, and statistics. Before that, I earned a master’s in the history of science. Some students may find it interesting I am writing a book on dinosaurs and have experience in field excavation of dinosaurs and many other types of fossils!

For a college professor, tutoring usually comes through office hours. I have held many office hours with students over the years, meaning I have many hours of tutoring. I have also taught online. For subject areas, I am happy to tutor sciences (geology, biology), statistics, basic math, and even the humanities (philosophy, history). I use no set methodology for students since all students have particular backgrounds and needs I try to assess.
